(PLEASE KEEP THESE TWO SISTERS IN YOUR PRAYERS NOW - MORE AN EVER!
(update from our Jan Billias)
I just returned from my cardiologist's office and wanted to give you the latest update. Overall, I am feeling much better and breathing better while lying down. (Now whoever dreamed that would be an Olympic Event?) My stress test results were not as good as I expected,, but not too bad. He said my "ejection fraction" is less than 40%, which basically means my heart muscle is very weak and not doing an adequate job of pumping the blood out of my heart.
We are going to try and treat the cardiomyopathy with meds for now, but if I have anymore fainting or dizzy episodes I will probably need another heart catheterization. At least I can explain away all my blonde moments to lack of oxygen.
I want to t ell you all how much your prayers are felt, and the cards and gestures mean more than I can ever say.
Nu Alpha has gone above and beyond to help , and I am so blessed.
(Update from Jean Huston)
I am so grateful for all the well-wishes, cards, notes, and especially the prayers that I have received from you. I want to give you an update on what has been happening. In early October, I was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer, stage 4. It was like running into a brick wall. But with the love and support of my family, friends, and my dear sisters, I am making some progress. My last scan showed the lesions on my liver had shrunk and the tumor on the pancreas had also decreased in size. For this, I thank the good Lord. I know all the prayers that have been going up have made the difference.
I love each of you and thank you for your concern. God bless you all.
Love, Jean Huston
UPDATE ON LISA HUFF:
I hope to have some good news regarding Lisa in a day or two,.. She did have surgery. (We're not sure of specifics, but know it was pretty serious) She is having a lot of pain but is taking some food.
For those of you who remember our Donna Cornett (Lambda Xi - Jacksonville) who retired several years ago and returned to her childhood home in New Hampshire. Donna's Sister, Nancy, passed away recently.
I know Donna would love to hear from her Florida Sisters. Please keep Donna and her family in your prayers.

Lisa Huff, Nu Alpha , is now at Florida Hospital and feels confident surgery can be done. She asks for continued prayer...we know it's a powerful thing.
Lisa Huff of Nu Alpha is in serious condition at Cape Canaveral Hospital's ICU. The hospital is desperately trying to find a surgeon to take her case at Florida Hospital in Orlando. She needs liver surgery, and probably will need a liver transplant.
Please pray for her. She is very ill.
Thank you. I know many of you are travelling or entertaining over this holiday, but please try and pass this request along.
