It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved International Council President, Brenda Meyers. Brenda passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on April 22nd after a short illness.
Brenda was not only an incredible leader but also a cherished friend to all who knew her. Her impact on ESA will carry on, especially in her many beloved family members whom she pledged into ESA over the years. We will remember Brenda for her quick wit, great kindness, ability to make every person she met feel loved, and her boundless passion for ESA.

SPECIAL NOTICE
OKLAHOMA
I am flying to Charleston, SC. In the morning (Sat., Sept 7). My sister Roxana Ledington was house sitting for my oldest daughter Shelly and her husband Glenn
while in Italy for two weeks. She lost her balance and fell on her right knee which is cracked and will require surgery. She had to scoot on her behind to find her phone
to call 911. Thank goodness she had the neighbor name and number to feed/water and let dogs out. She has not had a spit bath and/or a toothbrush or toothpaste
and refused to let her wash her hair for 5 days. Of course they have iced her knee on a consistent basis to reduce the swelling but informed her they were waiting
on a bed in the big Saint Francis hospital in downtown Charleston. She decided this afternoon she had had it with them. She demanded a wheelchair, called an
urber and they took her to this hospital in downtown. She went into the ER. Well guess what?? She is now in a room and will get to shower in the morning.
They did bring her the toiletries. And have informed her she will have surgery either in the morning or Sunday. I will arrive at noon and will pickup my rental
car and stop by the house to get her IPAD and phone charger and let dogs out. She is to text me if they decide to perform surgery before I arrive. Please keep
my sister and me in your prayers. If all goes well and we are able to take her to the house by the end of next week to recover a few days and feels ok to travel
I will place her in the backseat of her truck that is there and we will drive home. Of course it takes a good two days to drive back to Oklahoma from Charleston, S.C.

3. Diane Lewis, has been recovering from a back surgery and had been doing well, but July 3rd took a fall and broke her femur near her hip requiring emergency surgery. Her most uncomfortable challenge currently is her very painful swollen leg.
